Speech therapy did help me along with hypnosis. I went through 20 years of speech therapy and I went from 0% fluency to 80%. (My stutter started as a result from a traumatic dog attack at the age of 5). Now, I focus on being present and enjoying life. I am confident, even when I block/repeat/stutter. I've embraced my stutter and I focus on living and not my stutter. I do practice mindful meditation (daily) , practice diaphragmatic breathing and I read 📚 one page out loud every day. This helps me cope with life's stressors.
