I’m 28 and have had a stutter for the majority of my life. I had realized this is who I am. Some days are better than others but at the same time I have a wonderful wife who doesn’t stutter but loves me for who I am. I did join the military and was in a profession where talking was the majority of the job. I soon realized the job was horrible and quit. I still face the battles as others have where others will finish my sentences. The biggest thing is mental for me, being in a calm headspace while also having positive affirmations. Once aspect of my life that needs improvement is making friendships, I don’t like making friends and prefer to stay alone.
