I feel that I don't need to highlight it myself. I don't see a reason to do that voluntarily. If i stutter when talking to someone, and they ask me about it, I don't hesitate to answer their questions about it. However, if it doesn't bother my audience and they don't think it affects my responsibilities enough to bring it up, then I don't see the reason to do self disclosure. It's also a matter of self-esteem for me. If I feel that my stutter will hinder my professional responsibilities, I will be the first person to bring it up with a superviser. However I have learned to be confident in my professional abilities over the years and I don't feel that it is necessary for me to present myself first and foremost as someone with a stuttering problem. Hope that helps! I'd love to read your work/findings!
