I couldn't agree more. I have a moderate to severe stutter. I am working on my Doctorate in healthcare (I have to talk to patients all day) at the moment. I definitely had to confront my stutter and force myself to become ok with talking with people to get where I am today. A big lesson was learning to stop caring about how I thought others perceived my stuttering while I was having a stuttering episode during a conversation. Learn to not care about stuttering in front of others. Its not the worst thing in the world. Once you don't care about stuttering in front of others, that reduced stress from not caring with have positive effects on your speech. What is that adage? Don't put off until tomorrow what can you can do today.
