You need an IEP. What state do you live in? You have the right to ask your School to do a full evaluation. Get your parents to ask. You can send your parents to me and I can walk them through that process. You have a communication disability and it impacts your ability to access the curriculum and to make effective progress. That wording is purposeful. You need to fight for this. Once you have the testing, there will be a meeting. How old are you? You can request to attend. You should ask that your speaking never count against you. I think you should keep doing the oral presentations in front of class because the Life experience will desensitize you and it’s a skill you will need and use throughout your life. You can also advocate that your communication disability has an impact on your social emotional well-being. Then the school will have to provide you with support. No one can fix you, but life is better with allies who will walk you through things. Feel free to PM me. Feel free to get your parents in touch with me. I have information I can send to them about advocating for you in school. If you go to private school the local public school is required by law to provide you with the services you qualify for.
