Smacking

Smacking I swear this is a legitimate question first off. I have had a stutter all my life, it's not super severe but I go through phases where I'm completely fine and maybe stammer a word here or there, but then out of the blue it gets bad, and then it'll be fine again after a few weeks-months. When it's in a bad phase I'll stammer the first word in every sentence of new thought. Super frustrating. Well when I was a teenager, my parents are fun loving jokesters and made me feel comfortable at home about my stutter but at the same time there was light hearted poking. It doesn't bother me, they're my family and if you're a close enough friend it doesn't bother me either, but back to the question my mom one day just smacked me in the back of the head just messing around and my stutter stopped for a good few hours. We laughed and moved on, well I did she actually started googling why that happened. No real answer but this still goes on. I start getting bad and she'll smack the back of my head, on the left side, and it stops for a while. I was wondering if this is a thing other's have noticed/tried(or am I just the weirdo who lets people smack me around lol) or why this is happening, the speech center of the brain is on the left side. I just go with it, my best friend even does it to me and I've even asked to smacked before a big date or an interview because my nerves will make it worse.
