I was thinking about teaching her to simply accept her stutter and not try to “fix” it. Otherwise I’m defining it as a problem. I believe everyone is different and some people just have a stutter and it’s not a big deal? I know it’ll affect her life but I feel like she’ll focus more on it when she think it’s a problem and have trouble just moving on. I like how you said you’re not as disappointed now after you accepted it. That’s how I want my daughter to feel about it. I took her to a SLP about 6 months ago and she diagnosed her as developmental but now I’m noticing more tension when she speaks. Maybe I’ll try seeing an SLP one more time. Thanks for your response!
