It helps my migraines mostly by 1. dulling the pain. 2. making me forget there was even a migraine to begin with. Number 2 happens more often that #1 does (it's very easy to go from mild to moderate pain management to just being really high), but for the most part, yes it does help with vomit-inducing-star-seeing-body-pulsing migraines. --- As far as your frustrations go, I still think, even just being in public (you don't have to interact) is better than not. Again this is from my own perspective, but when I moved from the cyclical "woe is me" mentality to interim "woe is me but at least I have company" mentality to the idea that good friends, a partner, and experiences very rarely fall into one's lap. I'm not sure if you know this or not, but there's a Google Hangout tri-weekly, hosted by [Stutter Social](http://www.stuttersocial.com/)(times bottom of the page). If you're interested, hit up their [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/stuttersocialofficial) on one of those days to get the hangout link. I participate when I can (usually Thursdays), but they're cool with any degree of sound/picture/typing or lack of. It's really nice to get to hang with other PWS when you need a pick me up, or an ear to listen.
