Yes, I do. I also stutter when talking to my cat, when talking to my hamster, when dreaming, sometimes even while singing. Other PWS might have a different experience, and so what if they do? Negative thought? This is just science. If you think the only thing causing authentic chronic disfluencies are negative thoughts, then you're either not properly educating yourself about speech-language pathology, or you just have no idea what an authentic chronic disfluency is. This is the exact kind of attitude I'm sick of on this sub. Emotions don't cause severe chronic disfluency, for fuck's sake. Everyone has emotions, but everyone doesn't stutter. Emotions certainly can and do exacerbate or ease disfluency, as they can exacerbate or ease a myriad of other issues, but at their *core*, chronic disfluency is an inherent physiological linguistic problem. And the more people spout nonsense about only needing confidence and positive thinking to cure a stutter, the more disinformation spreads about the issue. Do you tell someone with severe depression caused by a chemical imbalance to buck up and be more positive? No, because their problem might be mitigated by doing those things, but the imbalance is still there and must be properly treated.
