Dating and stuttering Stuttering has been a part of my life since I was 15 or 16y/o, now I am 21 and I have accepted that it's gonna be with forever and I am trying to be more open about it but it feels like a huge burden on me , so going on dates and meeting new people is a challenge for me. There’s a lot of pressure to come across as “confident” or “smooth,” and people sometimes mistake stammering for nervousness or lack of intelligence. I been approached by people before, but when they notice I stutter they kinda of lose intrest , So i started to bring this up early on like when texting.. I’m not looking for pity just some perspective from people who’ve been through something similar or who’ve dated someone with a stutter. How did you handle it? Did it get easier over time? And thanks for reading :)...
