Sounds like it could be a secondary behavior. Unconsciously learned when you were younger and stuck. Something like when you were on a tough sound you try anything to get the word out and when you twitched your face or eye, the word came out. This kept getting reinforced enough times before it became a habit. Habits like these are hard to undo. Well, not hard but they take awareness and time. The first step is awareness. You may think you're aware every time it happens, but when you actively look for it it's a different exercise. You become finely attuned to it. So I would pick a couple of conversations per day where the whole goal is to be acutely away every time you twitch. Once you get that down you can move towards trying to reduce the twitches. Now that you are expertly aware, you can now focus your energy on trying to resist it. You must start in only super easy situations where you already know you can resist. like super easy. Then once you master those, you move up to more stressful/difficult situations. But its slow and steady and not an even rise, so it takes time. That's my suggestion.
