You just have to find your style in making jokes. For me, I tried doing the old build up and punch line thing but it never works because of my stutter. What works for me is dry crude humor that I just comment on a situation or something that happened. Keep it short and sweet but dark as well. People seem to enjoy it and find my hilarious (as far as I know)
