Yeah I long ago accepted my stutter and didn't expect this effect from the medication at all. Just to clarify, Guanfacine is an alpha blocker and not a beta blocker. It could cause a spike in blood pressure if I stopped all the sudden, but it doesn't have the same side effects as a beta blocker.
