I think we've had this topic in here before, that of the distance between stutterers and those seeking to help them. The only recourse we seem to have is to rely on the (potential) accumulated experience of the therapist - which is probably why some stutterers experience having to try several therapists before they find a good fit, because each encounter is an individual context (a point for therapy in general, too). And then there's the scientific angle, with the lack of a full understanding of what stuttering is. I'm not sure there's been much progress, or if it's just really slow, but it restrains the therapeutic effort indeed. Not much we can do there, except maybe just keep talking about what we experience, to get the nuances out (scientists need to know what to look for, so to say). As for the woman in the video, all I can say is that I seem to hear a lot of secondary stuttering - as in, habits that arise around a stutter. I don't know her story, of course. Maybe this is the best she's sounded in years. Maybe it'll get worse, her habits failing her. I just heard something that sounded like the result of a struggle, and wished for her to have better options.
