I've been here for about six years, and a lot of posts tend to fall into "Hey guys, I figured it out! Follow my plan!" and "oh my god, my life is terrible and I'm at my wit's end." It's a lot of the same posts, but those posts come from different people each time, and it's usually someone who's new to the community. I think both responses are understandable, depending on where a person is with their stutter. Some people feel like they're at the end of their rope, and they have no idea what to do about their stutter. And other people at other points feel like they've figured it out, and they're so stoked about sharing their plan with everyone else; because if everyone else did their thing, they'd be fixed too! I think it's just a common thing that PWS have a lot to say about their stutter, and most of us haven't had the chance to do that. It is good that people have a chance to speak their mind here, but yeah, a lot of it is repetitive. Maybe we have a weekly "rant" thread? As for the research, there are really interesting studies about stuttering that the community would benefit from, but it's also this one user who keeps spamming research posts that make the research seem way more complicated than it actually is. I don't see their posts because they blocked me, and honestly, it's led to a better experience here.
