How does this align with what SLP’s who *specialize in dysfluency* suggest - put yourself in uncomfortable speaking positions, look toward the listener, disclose or use voluntary repetitions? What are your results when you experiment with those habits? I don’t have any formal links showing their efficacy, but the proof is in the pudding lol. Many here report the following struggles - ordering fast food, asking for extra condiments, or saying your own name/address. These are objectively not cognitively demanding tasks. Your comment sounds like a very fancy explanation for folks from cultures where acknowledging male anxiety is not socially allowed. If I’m correct, I am sorry for people in this situation, and I wish you would experiment with new habits.
