You don't have a choice about whether or not you stutter. You do have a choice about how you deal with it. Instead try to focus on what you can do. Order the food you want, not what you can say. Go ahead and ask a question instead of remaining silent. Pick one moment each day where you would normally not speak and just say what you would. And afterwards, remind yourself that it's ok. If you were fluent, it's ok. if you stuttered it's ok. Even if it was terrible experience, it's ok. You'll learn these experiences won't kill you and should keep doing what you want, stutter or not.
