No I've not done therapy in years. I don't know if it's been 15 years since my last tune-up or more. I'm very fluent. Not silver tongued. My therapy was about relearning speech. It was a ground up approach to learning to speak again. As opposed to I read a lot of therapies where they try and correct your dysfluence speech. I never corrected my dysfluent speech. I learned fluent speech. While I was learning my fluent speech, I only used that fluent speech in therapy and privately when I practiced. My everyday life was still my dysfluent stuttering self. It wasn't until I mastered my fluent speech that my therapist had me slowly start introducing my new fluent speech into the outside world. And at that point I was having completely fluent conversations with my therapist for an hour at a time in therapy. I was set up for success before I ever tried to use my new fluent speech outside of a controlled environment
