Hey there! McGuire student for about a year and 2/3 months now. As /u/Blaat1985 rightly said, **throw your fluency out the window!** It's all about saying what you want to say, confidently and clearly. The course changed my life, I'll put it like that. Before in certain situations I couldn't speak a word. 3 days is all it took to change me from a very anxious person to a person who LOVES TO TALK. You wont become fluent, please don't think you will, and when you attend a course please don't just run off with fluency like I see so many people do. Because a few weeks after, you're back to square one. Use the techniques like you're shown, and with dedication you can become a articulate speaker. The amount of work you put in correlates to how well it will work for you (most of the time). If you work like it's your only hope and last resort, if you throw away your whole ego, it will work for you. Again, the more your practice, the easier they become automatic. You'll be learning to speak and breath from a different part of your diaphragm. This will take time to become automatic but not too long. :) I could never NOT recommend the program. Please give it a shot, and if you do so give it 100% dedication. I just want to say, you're going to be made uncomfortable a lot during your time on the programme, you're going to challenge yourself like you'd never even dream. It was the scariest thing in my life, but it was *sooo* worth it. Can I ask what mcguire region you'll be attending in? I'm from Ireland myself.
