Thinking about Stuttering

Thinking about Stuttering Hey, so I was talking to myself in the mirror, and I came to a realization; if I can control my speech around myself PERFECTLY with out a single stutter, why can't I do that in public? In my mind, this proves that the control of my speech is in my hands, and I just need to exert that same control in public. Problem is that I stutter much more severely around people i deem 'higher' class than me. ​ thoughts?
