This. I'm lucky enough to have worked through a lot of my self esteem issues with my speech impediment and am quite open to talking about it and educating people. I hate the word stutter also. No justification, just hate it. I don't suffer though, just that I "have a speech impediment." But that may be more of a personal choice. Ironically speech impediment is easier for me to say then stutter so it works out that way too.
