If you feel you have been outright denied a position because of your stutter, remember that (assuming you're American) it is covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act and it is possible to take legal action. You can start the process by contacting your local state equal opportunity employment commission. I don't think it's an easy process to go through, but keep it in mind. One thing they might do, for example, is to subpoena the notes that the interviewers took about you (any professional HR division will of course take notes of the interviewees), if any red flags come up then the case will go further. I don't know exactly what kind of compensation you can receive, and I think it varies case by case, but in some instances the company can be legally forced to hire you, in which case all of your co-workers will likely resent you.
