What strategies have you been implementing to improve your stutter? I’m a 29 year old male and public speak for a living. I typically give 2 1-hr in-person presentations a week. This stuttering issue has literally been crippling my life. I know I don’t have a neurological issue because I never stutter in front of my girlfriend, close family, or friends & I absolutely never stutter when I’m drinking. I’d love to know what ways you improved the impact of it on your life. I have days & periods of time where it doesn’t exist and then really bad stretches where I’m afraid to say “have a good night” to the person behind the counter as I leave the gym in fear of stuttering. I feel like my body is attempting to protect me and is essentially blocking my airways when I know a certain sound is coming around the corner. I feel like the more I try to fight through it, the more the fight or flight intensifies and makes it more difficult down the road. I also feel like the more I obsess over it, the worse it’s getting. Any help / resources would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!
