I don't follow this sub too close because of the opposite of what you're describing, like posts about giving up and that everyone here is doomed. In my experience the examples you gave are generally frowned upon and people don't tend to agree. What I agree and see other people here doing too is trying to have a better perspective of doing what you can with what you've, mostly through acceptance. I also don't think it's a bad thing about people sharing what worked for them, as long as it's not "do this and you'll be cured". After all this condition is different for everyone, so sharing experiences might help someone else.
