The thing that most stutters fail to understand is we're in control of everything that we do. Regardless of whether stuttering is hereditary or developed over time, we can still work towards speaking freely. That means being aware of everything about our speaking. The problem is we end up accepting our stutter rather than doing everything we can to combat the issue. Doing this means you're settling. This also means you build up negative mental conditioning by sitting back and being passive about your stutter. It's easier to accept our stutter; stay at home and wait for the years to pass. It's more difficult, but more rewarding, to take action. Anyway, if you watch this video I highlight this a little more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHvXemOUjsI
