I have the same problem. I have been seeing a speech pathologist for a few months now. One of the things we started working on is voluntary stuttering. When you feel a block, you can usually enunciate the first sound a few times and then ease through the rest of the word. For example, Captblondbeard. I would say "My name is C-C-Captblondbeard. Enunciating the sound a few times, you are opening your vocal cords which, during a block, are closed tight. This is a basic technique I use fairly frequently.
