Help a worried dad My son (turning 6 next week) has just starting stuttering. It happened a few days ago and seems to have gotten a little worse each day. The majority of sentences do not have a stutter, but some do (start of sentences mostly). His general day to day speech is strong and has no learning difficulties. He is very aware that he's suddenly struggling which is annoying him and probably worsening it. I'm trying to arrange a consultation call with a language therapist in the next few weeks, but I just thought I'd ask here to see what everyone thinks. No emotional damage (I saw one type of stuttering could be caused by this), no recent head knocks either. Naturally, I'm really worried and it's keeping me up at night. Is this how it starts for most people, or is usually something that goes away. I'm sorry for being naive etc. :(
