It doesnt completely keep me from meeting people, but it is the sole reason why I havent dated. In addition to the prospect being super painful, I feel i wouldnt be able to connect and establish rapport without talking. Anyway, the only way to overcome it is to just do it. If you can say fuck it and just talk to girls/ask them out, then thats the path to plenty.
