Firstly I remind myself that this will pass. I didn't do anything when I have "good" times and I didn't do anything when I have "tough" times either. So I try to ride it out as easily as I can. I listen to www.stuttertalk.com podcast and it makes me feel less alone. I listen to the B team when I want frank conversation and listen to some of Peter's more impressive interviews when I want inspiration. I also lean on my friends. I will admit, I do have some very great and open friends who I can turn to. They may not understand stuttering, but they understand me and I can connect better talking about the tough times of stuttering than I can with most other stutterers. Because they really listen and don't compare it against their own experiences (which is hard to do with other stutterers, since we're all so different).
