I'm a stuttering child educator, and the kids surprisingly aren't mean about it. Kids tend to get bored if you get stuck for too long, so I break it with humour (make a funny face, mispronounce the word as incomprehensible mush on purpose). Stuttering children also feel better about themselves if they know someone else who stutters but isn't insecure about it.
