Yep, I can't do scripts like planning exactly what to say. I prepare the gist of what I want to say, but say it whatever way feels best it easiest in the moment. I hate the radios where I work as well. I have to prepare immediately before speaking. Same for using the tannoy (public announcement system), but I've blocked there before as well, where loads of people can hear including customers. I used to want the ground to swallow me up when that happened, but I took comfort in the fact that one of the managers would often announce "Staff announcement. Jim please contact..." then pause while he figured out what phone he was using before starting again. No-one speaks fluently 100% of the time.
