I had a major down and a major up this week. i have a friend who is a manager at a theater so i ask him to get me a ticket (Ex Machina btw, an excellent movie). turns out its his day off so i go to customer services to get my ticket. "i am supposed to have a ticket waiting on me" "sure, name?" Damnit. well, i get it out after awhile and he goes over to look at the box of tickets and comes back and says "I didnt find it in there, who told you it was here and what was the movie?" I *know* he didnt look for my name because he didnt understand what i said and covered for it. I dont know if i should feel upset by this or not. for the good news: installed a new modem for my mom. managed to explain the process to her, a bunch of other technical stuff, and (this is the big one) navigate one of those voice-recognition phone menus to get the thing activated when it was over.
