Stuttering, stress, and breathing Hello all, I had huge stuttering issues as a young child. So much so that they almost sent me to special school. After years of therapy and working hard at it, I got over it at about 17 years old. I think having a waitressing job helped a lot. I'm 26 years old now and about two years ago I started stuttering again .. a lot. I think it has to do with me starting a master's degree and not feeling completely ready for it. Now, I'm trying to get a job and it comes and goes and it gets worse as I'm stressed out. I have found that my breath lately has been really shallow like I cannot get enough air. Almost like I'm forgetting to breathe. My stutter is a lot worse when I'm short of air. Has anyone else had this issue? Any advice on how to deal with it? Thanks all, I'm at a loss here. :(
