It’s a journey and a process. I think acceptance is actually a bad name because it gives this idea that it’s all or nothing or even a choice. Acceptance is learned over time. For hiding and being less covert, think of that as an end point. What goals or changes can you make in how you stutter that gets you closer to that? This type of thing is great to explore in therapy too. More and more good SLPs are using Avoidance Reduction-type therapy. Having a a good therapist can really help guide you in this process
