A good company and co-workers will recognize your stammer and give you the time you need. 24 years old, your career is just starting out. Don't quit! I'm a software engineering myself, and you can absolutely succeed with a stammer. A mark of a good company is that co-workers will overlook your stammer and recognize your skills and respect you for that. Obviously, I don't know your company structure, but if you have 1on1s with your team lead, bring up your stammer and how it's affecting you. If you don't have 1 on 1s ask for a meeting with your direct manager or HR, and discuss how your stammer is affecting you, and hopefully they can assist. Don't suffer in silence. A good manager and or company will help you. If management, team lead etc ever calls you out on your stammer, then it's time to look for another job - there's toxicity and deep rooted issues. I hope that this has not been your experience. Good luck,
