Stuttering child Hi guys, I’m from Australia and am writing on behalf of my cousin in a third world country. He’s 7 years old and has started stuttering since around 6/7 months ago. I know normally it would be advised to take the child to a speech pathologist, however, this option isn’t available to them in their rural town. They have gone to a doctor and the doctor prescribed him some medicine to take (not sure of the name but I can get the info). This hasn’t been helping much. He is currently learning English but speaks 2 other languages fluently (Turkish and Arabic and also another dialect). Any advice on how I can help him in any way. - What’s some techniques to be done at home with stuttering? - Can I visit any speech pathologist (I can privately pay) for some advice? - Is there any videos he can watch or just anything in particular that can be a help !! He has been badly bullied for the stuttering, causing him to leave school and is now taking private tutoring classes at home instead. Thank you in advance as I genuinely have no clue on stutters.
