I had the opposite experience nearly two years ago when I was in 7th grade. We had a substitute teacher that day and had to read a book (The Giver). She picked on me to read and I did although I was very embarrassed after reading it. But then she tells me I’m stalling and to read it again. Not only that but she wrote my name down even after kids who knew me since elementary told her I stuttered. With hindsight I should’ve probably stood up and told her in her face that I had a stutter and wouldn’t read it again.
