I'm a female stutterer. I'd say moderate, sometimes severe. I was very lucky in high school, dated the most popular guy, and was captain of the cheerleading squad (I didn't stutter talking in unison or cheering) and wasn't bullied. I was very social and didn't try to hide my stutter. I'm now a successful corporate accountant, married with 3 sons and a baby grandson. I still hate the virtual presentations I have to do, but I let my "audience" know I stutter at the start. I won't lie, it has added stress to my life but I am very outspoken because I firmly believe what I have to say is just as important as everyone else. I am often drained after prolonged social interaction, but it's just one small aspect of everything that makes me "me".
