You're welcome. I forgot exactly where I read it, but a quick google search lead me to [this](https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/life-bilingual/201111/change-language-change-personality). I've told many people about this exercise but no one really followed up with it to me like you did so I'll go a little deeper into it. The way I read is by prolonging the vowels of each word, for ex: In the word "money" (I chose "money" because I find words starting with "m" difficult to say), I say it like "mooooneeey". Now, Im not pronouncing it differently (like moon-ey) but instead just prolonging the "o" and the "e" sound that you would make normally while saying "money". So in this way, you form a sort of bridge over the "m" sound on which one would normally stutter. You're lightly brushed on the "m" sound and jumping over it (think stone skipping). This only works if you don't stutter on vowels though - most stutters don't, I believe. Do this for all the words you say out loud and breath deeply (diaphragmatic breathing) at the end of each sentence. Do this until you feel confident, then slowly ease off of this technique and read as a normal person would but continue breathing deep. Mastering your breath is a big part of fluency. You can use this technique for any language that uses common vowels. Other tips: 1) Meditation - this is not solely for spiritual/religious people. It relieves stress, teaches you to be in the moment, helps you build a healthy relationship with yourself and minimizes the chatter that's constantly going on in our heads (esp in people who stutter like us). 2) Quit the porn and masturbation. Believe what you want regarding the morals of pornography and masturbation but this is probably the most important factor that has helped me accept my stutter and therefore reduce it. It reduced my anxiety by a ton and made me much more assertive and confident. Again, forget about the politics of the matter and just try it for like 2 weeks and see if it helps. Check out r/nofap for support (or don't if you don't wanna get involved in that group, doesn't matter). 3) Reading - you said you've been meaning to read for some time.. well it's a good time to start. Not only does this exercise the mind but it brings tranquility and confidence to you as well.
