That big lump feeling in your stomach is an important thing to be aware, and indicates you are having fear-based blocks. They are a very very common aspect of stuttering that has lots of misinformation from well-intentioned people (including many SLP’s!) . While medication/supplements *may* provide some relief, it’s bound to come with side effects, will take weeks/months from today for you to begin noticing a difference, and will still require you to do hard work. Alternately, you can learn some new habits that will directly and accessibly target the fear, leading to sustainable results, and less overall social fear. They are completely free to learn, practice and use, and you can begin today. While it’s hard work, you will likely begin seeing exciting results in a few weeks.
