when i was younger it did bother me to speak to another stutterer. its probably because we are so used to other people being fluent and we being the source disfluency that we cringe. i remember in a group speech class there was another dude who stuttered so bad he couldn't get one word out without stuttering, blinking his eyes and having full body spasms. i remembered feeling so utterly confused and thinking that my stutter was a gift compared to this. As i met others that stuttered i began to be more patient and understood my own stutter better. Patience is the key to all this stuff guys. im 35 now and still stutter and am completely cool with it and when i find someone else who stutters we feel pretty free to stutter, we even have stuttering contests.
