23 year old male here, been with my girlfriend for nearly a year. I've always been very resentful about the fact that I have a stutter. Background: I didn't so much get bullied, but picked on because of how I used to talk when I was in my teens. There are certain words that I always get stuck on and I try and avoid them. This has always knocked my confidence when talking to girls. My point: first time I met my current girlfriend I stuttered A LOT and she completely ignored that fact. Couple months down the line I asked her why it didn't put her off...she had a right go at me for even thinking that. Girls don't care about how you talk, they care about what you say and what you do. They understand that some things you can't help, its just part of who you are. She went so far to say that she doesn't even notice my stutter even though it's right there. If you want a girlfriend then treat a girl how she should be treated. A minute thing like a stutter does not matter to a good person:)
