Request for Insight – For a YA Novel Featuring a Teen Who Stutters Hi everyone, I’m a Canadian author currently working on a young adult novel set in 1978. One of the main characters, Lucas, is a 16-year-old boy who stutters. I want to ensure his experience is respectfully portrayed with honesty and emotional accuracy. I’ve put together a short form, 15 questions, asking about your personal experience with stuttering - when it started, how it affects you, and what you wish people better understood.
