Yeah of course it sucks, it always will. But you know straight away that her friends are dicks. Always good to know the playing field! Most people are alright though, I think we as stutterers do have a bit of paranoia (understandably) don't mistake being surprised or being caught off guard as being disapproving either. It's not that common of a thing (to the extent we are talking about) and some people will ask stupid questions or react in daft ways. If they are worth it you will get through it, if you don't get through it then they were never worth the effort anyway!
