For me it was schoop plays which eventually led me to more professional theatrical acts in front of thousands (not a professional actor though), school anouncer/radio host, folowing my dreams of opening a couple of social clubs and being the president where I had to hold a lot of meetings and eventualy folowing my dreams of being a doctor. To this day I stil stutter and go to speech therapy but I never allowed it to hold me back. Just to add about drug use since one comment said he tried to use coke to get through it. My advice is to stay away from all drugs all together no matter how tempting they are. One of my professors, who also was a stutterer was an alcoholic due to his stuttering and he gave me the same advice to stay away from any drugs as no matter how tempting they are. Unfortunately, I didn't head his words and had troubles and abuse with alcohol, cannabis and benzodiazapines. Thankfully, I had a strong family and friends suport and am now 100% clean. My advice is to meditate (as one commentor said) as it would calm your nerves a lot have been doing that for the past year and it is making all the difference in the world.
