Went through speech therapy as an elementary schooler. Had my friends instructed to ‘correct’ me and point out that I stuttered every time I did. This fucked me up so badly and internalized the idea that every time I stutter, someone will immediately know and people will be ‘correcting’ me internally. So uh, don’t do that shit.
