The crucial part to this in my experience is how you respond to stuttering if (honestly though, when) it happens again. Do you think if you chose to do this, that you’d be self critical or harsh on yourself if it happens again? If yes, then you’re in for a spiral of avoidance of stuttering. More avoidance, more anxiety, and as you know that’ll probably make it worse. I’ve been there. If you can work on your anxiety without being self critical or negative towards yourself and your stutter, then see Muttly’s comment.
