I just wish Ruth Mead, or Linda Rounds ( wrote a similar book), John Harrison, etc came out of the dark and did an interview or set up a website. You will find these people in a yahoo group posting sparingly. Stuttering is such a sensitive subject and I feel these people know their "audience". Linda Rounds and Bob Bodenhamer both charging for these e-books. When I read these books it just feels like they are speaking to me sometimes. There is some truth to what she is saying though. Today for example I met with some other stutterers to practice speaking. I spent the first 2 hours trying to slow down, use gentle onset, etc--I was failing miserably. At the end I sort of just let go and said fuck it and was able to speak fluently briefly. When I used to drink alcohol ( bad example) I forget that I had a stutter at times and I would speak spontaneously. When i'm alone I speak perfect. There is a correlation to all of this.
