When I was younger, I was made fun of by my family for stuttering. Not every day, but one the days where my stutter was bad, I would be mocked at home sometimes. It really crushed me, because it was obvious I was born with this problem. As I got older, they didn't mock me for it anymore, but they don't speak about it, either. It's just completely ignored. I never brought up the mocking. I'm 25 now. For me, I know unfortunately they are ashamed of it. They'd never admit it, but I know it's embarrassing to them. I just have to accept that. It's really hard to think back on those times.
