Competing for girls I've been exposing my stutter to a lot of people lately and to my surprise I've found that a lot of people, even girls I'm into, don't seem to mind, which is awesome! However, one *major* disadvantage I'm across is when I'm competing with other guys for a girl, I always end up being cucked. For instance, I find a girl I like at a bar or a party or a social event and I talk to her. It's just me and her, and she's being very patient with my stutter so we're able to have a great interesting conversation, I'm even able to get her to laugh a few times. Then before I can escalate things physically (sometimes even after I do!) another guy tries hitting on her, and his fluency basically makes it impossible for me to compete. He's able to get in a bunch of jokes, several stories while I'm struggling to say a single word. And since there are three of us now all in a group I'm not afforded the patience I was before when it was just me and her. Obviously he takes advantage of my lack of fluency and talks over me, making me look like a pathetic beta. This has made me super super insecure. And this *always* ends with the other guy getting the girl, and me being left behind. Me standing around disappointed with them two making out. This happens over and over again. Has anyone dealt with this? How do you guys handle stuff like this? And yes, while it would be nice to fInD a GiRl wHo lIkEs yOu fOr YoU, realistically we are all still part of Darwinism and so we need to compete for mates.
